Lindsey and I made these cute hanging art displays. It took us about 4 hours from start to finish. We made one for Lindsey and one for Austin.
Here is what you will need (above picture) :
30 " x 6" piece of board (I found my pieces of board at a thrift store..they were actually bed slats)
5 wooden pictures - not painted (find at any craft store...Michael's has them for $ .25)
4 wooden clothespins
craft paint (any color you choose)
paint brushes
hot glue gun
sandpaper
gloss or matte sealer spray
When your pieces are dry, you can hot glue the wooden pictures to a clothespin. The middle picture is not attached to a clothespin. It is just hot glued to the board as decoration. Next spray all of your painted pieces (including board) with a finishing sealer. Once dry, you can hot glue your clothespin pictures to the board. Spread them out across the board evenly.
You can either hang it by stapling rope to each side (in back) or you can attach a hook to hang it with. The kids loved helping to make this and now they have a fun place to hang all of their beautiful art!
